Ordering furnace glass beads should be easy and direct. A phone call to me in the studio...413-229-7993...will produce the best results because you can tell me what colors you like best and which you don't. You can ask me (Ricky) questions rather than just staring at this screen. All orders can be a MIX of color families or solids and stripes. You may for example, ask for 1/2 lb of SMALL CHUBBIES, (the most versatile size) in Brights...a 1/4 lb of MEDIUM CHUBBIES, (a chunky bead great for bracelets) in Caribbean tones...and a 1/4 lb of MINI-TUBES, (great for earrings) in a range of colorful stripes. Go light on the yellow and lots of purples and blues. This is fine. I'm picking them out for YOU so why not get what you want. It's your jewelry after all, so use the colors you want.

Many beginning jewelry makers just ask for an ASSORTED MIX of wonderful colors and shapes...some of everything. Or just a pound of BRIGHTS in SMALL CHUBBIES. If some furnace glass beads are not what you expected - send them back and tell me what colors or shapes you'd rather have. We use the same beads for our own Penrose jewelry line that will be sent to you. There are discounts for ordering in quantity, but even if you order a small amount, you'll still be treated with the same care as someone ordering 25 pounds. I promise.

With over 50 vivid colors to choose from we arrange our furnace glass cane beads into color families. BRIGHTS - CARIBBEAN - PASTEL - AUTUMN colors comprise the major groupings, with a full range of STRIPES including BLACK & WHITE, BLACK on BRIGHTS and lovely, COLOR ON COLOR combinations. Our furnace glass beads come in a wide variety of geometric shapes including squares, triangles, diamonds, ovals, rectangles and optic lined spirals. All our furnace glass beads are individually fire-polished to give them a vivid, luminescent quality while holding their true shape. A square is a square, not a mushy rounded edged blob!

At Penrose we do our very best to provide fast, individual service. The more information you can tell me about your color choices, the better your order will be. If you don't have a great preference and would like me to make up a great mix for you...that's fine. All the beads are made by me in the 2000-year-old glassblowing tradition and every order is hand picked. Our furnace glass beads are made with great care and attention to detail. If you're in our area, don't hesitate to come by...have a cup of tea and sit in the garden or watch some glassblowing in the studio. You're most welcome to pick out your own beads in the jewelry studio and take as long as you like.
